Virtual Horizons Launches Technasium: A Lifeline for Camden’s At-Risk Youth
Camden County’s justice-impacted youth are breaking barriers with VR job certs & mentorship—read how you can support their journey.
In February 2025, Virtual Horizons was awarded our first grant by Camden County’s (YSC) Youth Services Commission to provide and implement our Technasium program.
Technasium is a collaboration of companies dedicated to a unified mission and set of goals that assist justice-impacted and pre-adjudicated youth in making better, more positive life choices while providing alternative pathways to future independence and success. We do this by meeting the youth and their families where they are and assisting them with getting the services and products they need to move forward.
Outcome-Oriented Approach
By implementing these strategies, the program creates a robust framework for supporting youth and young adults in mitigating the risk of violations and recidivism. This approach not only promotes compliance with detention alternatives but also fosters long-term personal growth, family relationships and community reintegration.
Based on age and need we provide both educational and Workforce Development options and certification training utilizing state-of-the-art AR, VR, Simulators, and PC equipment along with our AI-driven software that allows for the creation of IEPs.
Our Workforce Development program starts out with career assessment and exploration software thereby preparing young adults for high-earning careers in the STEM and/or Skilled Trade vocations, as well as for having successes in life in general. Every component: its people, technology, and resources work together in harmony, whereby the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
By valuing every contribution and fostering interconnectedness, Technasium becomes a powerhouse of positivity, creativity, problem-solving, and growth, ensuring its impact is both profound and enduring.
